I’ve completed about half of the items on my to do list I posted a few days ago, but I’m post about the most ‘fun’ of the completed bunch.

Buy an Easter outfit

I wrote that I wanted to find something springy and light, and I do believe I’ve found an outfit that satisfies both!

The shoes and earrings I’ve owned for a while now; the dress and scarf are the new parts. The dress is Isaac Mizrahi for Target (I found it for $10 at a local thrift shop.) It was a little big around the waist, so I found the green scarf to cinch it in a bit. I’m pretty darn satisfied!

‘Keep Calm’ posters remixed

without comments

I see the ’Keep Calm and Carry On’ posters all over the web…etsy, design blogs, etc., which are lovely, but today I came across some ‘parodies’ of the original that crack me up (via the shops Earmark and DippyLulu on etsy.)

My personal favorite is the first one; ‘Freak Out and Throw Stuff’ would be welcome advice more often then one might think. :D

One

one-1While perusing one of my favorite design blogs (Design*Sponge) I came across this awesome new tea kettle called ‘One’ put out by Vessel Ideation. The bare bones concept is a tea kettle that caan go straight from the stovetop to your table – without having to worry about the burning hot underside of a traditional kettle. This is made possible by a magnetic ‘coaster’ that locks onto the bottom of the kettle so that a new, cool, surface is available. Plus, when the One kettle is cool, it is entirely white…but, when the water within it begins to heat up, an intricate blue design shows itself. Oh, I love it when people are clever.
